Flights Yangon to Bagan
The ancient city of Bagan, the home to more than 2,200 Buddhist temples, pagodas, and stupas, is the most important tourist destination in Myanmar. Therefore, the route between Yangon and Bagan is particularly significant in the itinerary of almost all of Myanmar tours. Tourists can travel from Yangon to Bagan by road, railway and air, among of which flights Yangon to Bagan are considered the easiest and quickest way. A direct flight takes bout 1h10 and non-direct one (via Heho Airport or Mandalay International Airport) takes about 1h50. Ticket price is around $95-155. The Bagan terminal is the Nyaung U Airport, 7 km from New Bagan.
The Yangon International Airport is located in Mingaladon, 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) north of downtown Yangon, taking about 30 minutes to reach by car. The terminal 1 and 2 are for international flights and the terminal 3 is for domestic ones.
